| A redundant item of plant can be a safety hazard if not disposed of in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. Just switching equipment off and walking away from it is not good practice when there is no intention to use it again. Any gas or oil appliance should be disconnected and made safe electrically. Systems containing water should be drained in order to prevent pipes splitting due to freezing. Stewart Anthony Ltd can provide all of these services and arrange for a specialist to remove the redundant item from site and sent for processing. We hold a waste carriers licence from the Environment Agency.
